I have recently decided that I would love to start a new career as a Life Coach. I have been searching the web to find out what classes I should take to become certified. It seems as though there are so many options. If there is anyone out there that is already doing this and has been successful, can you please lead me in the right direction. I want to become a Life Coach or Counselor to help people reach their potential. I have a B.S. in business and have owned a successful business. There are no set legal requirements in my state to be a Life Coach…so where do I begin? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Lately, I’ve been reading and hearing about “Life Coaches.” I find this to be an intriguing title. But is it a real profession? And how does one become a Life Coach?

Right now, I study psychology. But I want to be a life coach focusing on stress and time management as well as health. I also want to be a physical trainer. How long will all of this take?

I love giving advice and helping people. I’m thinking of majoring in counseling, but do I even need a degree to become a life coach? If you are one, please tell me if you like your job.

I’ve decided that my goal in life is to become a life coach. I have an undergrad degree in psychology, and have been giving advice for as long as I can remember- to my younger siblings, my friends, my parents!, etc. I really do give great advice and I care! I don’t know how to become a life coach without extensive further schooling, which I cannot afford. Does anyone know of a life coach who is looking for an assistant, paid intern, or protoge?

I graduated this past spring with bachelors in psychology and i want to do something with it. I am in grad. school right now and i currently work at a mental/behavioral hospital. i would like to start a life coach business, but i’m not sure what is required. I want to know, do I have enough education background to legally start the business and what other legal stuff will I need to know about? I live in ohio and I have looked on the gov’s. site for establishing a new business, but it is less than helpful.
I want to specialize in high school sports and self-esteem building workshops.

Is any formal certification necessary to be a personal / life coach? Also, are most personal / life coaches self-employed consultants, or do some work for companies that provide such services? Any information about the field of life coaching will be appreciated.
