Here are a few life-coaching strategies that can help you land your dream job:
-Know what you want – An important factor about life coaching is that when it comes to determining what your dream job is, you need to first know what career you would like to pursue. In such a case, here is one good strategy that you could use: sit down and jot down all the things that would make up your dream job.
What are the key factors that would make you happy about your job? What according to you is a perfect working day? Is it money that you’re looking out for? Would you like to make your hobby or passion a career? Do you want a challenging and exciting career? The answers to these basic questions will help you determine what you want out of your career.
-Be knowledgeable about the things you need to get there – A basic life coaching strategy would involve helping you to get from one point, where you’re stuck to the second point, where your position will be improved. Now that you are sure of what it is you’re looking for you should take the time to find out what is required in order for you to get there.
Ask yourself if education is important. Will networking help you? Will you need certain skills or a certificate to get there? Planning the steps to achieve a certain goal is very important. If at times you feel that you’ve lost focus, then you should take a look at your final goal and assess the best way to get there.
-Take action – The only thing standing in between you and success is you! Nothing can obstruct your path to success when you have a concrete and realistic goals and plans that are achievable. Now that you know what you want and what the necessary steps are to get there – what are you waiting for? Set a deadline for yourself, get started and take action immediately.
Tell yourself what you are going to do and deadline to have it completed. Give yourself challenges that will help inspire you to move forward. The momentum from this process will help sustain you when the going gets tough.

Be Your Own Life Coach: Five Important Steps for Coaching Yourself to Success

If you were to hire a life coach, you would have some help in clarifying your personal goals, as well as someone to hold you accountable in your efforts to attain them.
But hiring a personal coach can get expensive, and it can be a little awkward and embarrassing to ask someone to help you to get along in your personal life. Here are five steps you can take to help you become your own best life coach.
1. Write in your journal every single day. While my coffee is brewing each morning, I write three pages longhand in my journal. It really helps me to clarify my goals for the day and to burn through all of the tedious thoughts that can stifle my creativity at work.
For best results, try writing without thinking too hard about what you are writing. Just focus on moving the pen across the page. It’s up to you whether to go back and look at what you’ve written. For me, the most powerful personal coaching tool is the act of writing itself.
2. Put your goals in writing. Your daily journal writing will likely help you break through to discover what you really want from your life. When you get one of these insights, write about your goal. Break down each goal into achievable action steps. Think in baby steps and create an action plan that breaks down your ultimate goal into daily and weekly tasks.
Be careful not to be rigid in these goals and daily tasks. Listen to your life and pay attention to any adjustments you might feel prompted to make to your goals or the way in which you wish to achieve them.
3. Envision the end result. Imagine what life would be like once your goal is achieved. Engage all of your senses as you imagine the outcome. What will your life look and feel like? What kinds of things will you do? How will you act once you have achieved your goal? Now live out that vision and allow the details to take care of themselves.
The most important thing for my success has been to keep a vision of the completed goal in the forefront of my mind at all times, and then to watch how my life figures out the nitty gritty details of how to eventually achieve the goal. It’s a fun process once you get the hang of it.
4. Set aside time each day to read (or listen to) positive and encouraging words. Whether you choose to read about your industry or simply a favorite topic in the personal growth genre, make sure that what you are reading is empowering and can be immediately translated to future action that you can take.
If you don’t have time to read for an hour or so a day, get creative. Go to the library and get a stack of books, so that you always have one handy. I have a book in my car, in my handbag, by my bedside (anywhere that I might have some unexpected downtime).
You can also check out audiotapes from your public library. Or download some great books or speeches from audible.com and have them ready to go on your mp3 player. That way, you can get your reading done during your commute or your daily exercise session.
Taking the time to educate yourself on topics of interest can really help you to grow on a daily basis, and it’s amazing how your perspective can change when you marinate in positive thoughts for just an hour a day.
5. Attend workshops, seminars, and take classes in your field or industry as well as in the personal growth industry. Choose two or three of your favorite authors whose books you find particularly helpful or empowering.
Visit their websites and see if they will be coming to speak this year at a town near you. If so, book the tickets now. A day or weekend spent in such an environment can propel many significant changes in your life.
Use the tips above to determine whether a personal coach is what you need, or if you can continue to be your own coach and create your own success.

If you are a high achiever; getting a life coach may not seem like the best of ideas. You may feel that a life coach may not give you much of a benefit. For almost all people, life coaches can make a difference. Join me as we take a look at how life coaching can make a difference, in your life.
I had the radio on downstairs at home. The radio was on a station which I don’t generally listen too, but was on. An advert came on which was presenting the station as the best choice because ‘getting up in the morning is always hard’, and the presenters can help you out of bed!
It dawned on me that many people have such a problem. Usually it is something to do with working in a job that has no satisfaction. I found it odd, because for me predominantly, I can jump out of bed on a Monday feeling inspired, and ready for action.
Like all people, even I have the times when I just don’t want to get out of bed. It happens to us all. We have tasks which don’t seem promising, and we feel like no amount of sound from an alarm clock will get us to feel enthusiastic about the day!
If you are a self starter, you probably can relate to the last few paragraphs. You may not need an alarm, but sometimes it is essential. There are times of the year when we can work day and night, while other days, even a few hours can seem like a drag. And this totally applies whether it is a dead end job or if you are like me, following your passion.
Here is where life coaching really makes amazing things happens, in your life. If you calculate those times when you simply scratched your head, and didn’t know what to do or if you just couldn’t take action on some things that were or are important, you will find it takes up a lot of time.
This is wasted time, and sometimes our best opportunities present themselves at those times. This is why many fail to achieve, because at those most opportune times, they just can’t take action.
Life coaching becomes a valuable asset in high achievers lives. And I feel it is because we become accountable. If you run your own business, sometimes you may go down a gear or two. But with life coaching, this seldom happens.
It reminds us of school days, where we felt that we had to do what we were told. Whether you were a top grade student or you didn’t know why you had to be there, you still felt an urge to take action, when told.
Now, a life coach is not going to discipline you. They are not going to get a cane out! But, we still are paying a fee, and if we are serious about becoming outstanding in our field of endeavor, we feel inclined to act.

In today’s economic unease, we tend to take a closer look to our expenses. It is easy to cut out the things we don’t need, and still class important the unimportant. So, is life coaching a waste of expense or is it an asset which can help you put surety and ease into your own finances and other areas?
Life coaching can help in many areas – you have seen this. When you get life coaching, the life coach can assist you in reaching your goals, usually in a quicker time or with a surer route, then if you had taken the route yourself.
This is an important consideration for many reasons. If we look at economic uncertainties, we find a few interesting points. We find that some people still climb, while the majority has a hard time.
You have likely heard of the phrase – the rich get richer, while the poor get poor. In a recession this becomes a phrase that is easily seen in our daily reality. This can work good or bad, depending on which side you find yourself in.
Look at the budget, and you may feel that going for a life coach at this time, might not be the best investment. This is something that comes down to your own abilities, and resources.
A recession can be a blessing or a curse; depending on how you choose to look at it. What intrigues me is not what happens on mass as public perception, but the people who actually make big growth during that phase.
And what is found, is that these people make some of there biggest gains during a recession. No longer do we need to be stuck in the status quo. Now, you can look with new eyes at opportunity.
The gains usually have someone behind the scenes. It could be a book that inspires an entrepreneur to great heights, it could be an article like this or more likely a life coach who helped, served and guided the person to achievement.
Whatever happens, the recession can bite us all. We all can feel a pinch, it could be closures, it could be staff laid off, and it even could be a number of things. However, one thing that is constant is that the economy will improve.
It is a part of life, and life coaching can often help to keep you on top form, so you perform your best – irrespective of what is happening around you.
And this is gold; because you have just struck out of the game of blaming external factors, such as a recession, and have now taken your life and future success into your own hands, and have made a decision to succeed.
