Parents, I’m looking to be a life coach specifically working with children that need encouragement, direction, sense of value, and support to make it in today’s challenging society.

I want to know if parents would use this resource.

Not alot of them. They are usually dysfunctional because of their parents. A parent that doesn’t care isn’t going to pay you to fix things. There are some children where the parents have truly tried and would welcome the help. If you want to try it, then do so. Just don’t quit your day job until this plan brings in decent money.

If you look at the coaching rates and coaching information from the sites listed below. You can see that the hourly rates are on up. Executive coaches can cost more than 0/hr. It depends on the experience, qualifications and specialties of the life coach.

Hi all,
I have decided to make a career shift and work as a life coach. I was looking for an online training I can start with, but I have found many of them and don’t know on which criteria I can make my choice especially that some of them were very expensive for me as a start. So can you help me or share your experience about 1 or 2 trainings that were helpful and effective??

I finally found my life calling, and it is to be a Life Coach or Personal Coach. I have no idea what is the best way to study this relatively new field, so I can become one. I see online “schools,” and they’re very expensive. Are they necessary? What is the best route to go overall? Thanks!

You don’t need a course to help out, but you may want to learn what your clients are going through, so take a couple courses.
And when I say clients, I don’t mean you necessarily want money.
Start practicing on here, and get the hang of giving free advice. Talk to strangers, read lots of books, write your ideas down, and then even, you’ll know better of what way you should go with it. You have the courage sister, and a life coach will go a long way for the tribes of life.
If however, you mean a personal stylist coach, or home decor tutor, then maybe look into the more realistic venues that are around, and you may just get what you need!

How can I become a professional Life Coach? Are there certain certifications or degrees that you would recommend?

I am currently looking at obtaining a Neuro Linguistic Programming ( NLP) Practitioner certification.

Hi.

Depending on the requirements in your country, you may wish to consider a Diploma or Degree in Counselling or Social Work, etc. from a reputable school/institutes to pursue counselling as a career. Couselling works pretty differently form Life Coaching as there is no strict regulation or a national standards on what makes a Life Coach. Having said that, a diploma/degree does gives a good impresssion and credibility to a person if he wants a career in Life Coaching.

As for NLP, the tools which are taught during the training are also useful in Life Coaching as well depending on how you use them.

From my experience you need to talk to 3 or 4 and decide from there. Most offer a free initial session which can help . Also, ask about qualifications and experience as that can be variable. When you have decided evaluate your progress with the coach to ensure the relationship is working for you.
