I’ve decided that my goal in life is to become a life coach. I have an undergrad degree in psychology, and have been giving advice for as long as I can remember- to my younger siblings, my friends, my parents!, etc. I really do give great advice and I care! I don’t know how to become a life coach without extensive further schooling, which I cannot afford. Does anyone know of a life coach who is looking for an assistant, paid intern, or protoge?

Hi Brand New,
Salsa and Jonnie both gave you good advice; I’d like to chime in.
First you’ve got to decide whether you truly want to be a life coach, or whether you actually want to be a therapist or psychologist of some sort. The two professions are different. In fact, a life coach would be great at helping you sort out the question. If you want to talk more about this, contact me via Answers. Good luck!

A life coach doesn’t give advice-they guide the person to their own inner knowing

Live first, and you will learn in time.
And, start coaching now … with love … you’ll make mistakes … perfectly normal, just don’t get the idea that you are superior and you know better. Then you are not a life coach but an encroachment in life.
Jonnie
PS Do help others … I like that.

If you want to get a free start… try pair coaching. Its a great way to pair up with a friend and go through the exercises of coaching without spending a bunch of money…
Just do a Google search for “pair coach”, there are a couple of free services out there to get a good taste!
Cheers
